In this new and unique podcast, we talk about everyday topics that are useful for anyone learning Serbian as a foreign language, as well as for those already living in Serbia or planning to move.
However, this is not just another language-learning podcast.
This podcast is for everyone.
Whether you are a beginner just starting to learn Serbian, or an advanced learner who wants to improve your skills through listening, this podcast is made for you. Every week you’ll get two episodes on the same topic, which we, as native speakers, will present at different levels – beginner (A1–B1.1) and advanced (B1.2–C1).
This way, you can:
compare the same conversations at different levels, gradually increase your understanding, and clearly see your progress.
We are confident that with regular listening, you will soon feel more comfortable communicating and advance to a higher level of Serbian.

Since both of us have gone through the experience of learning foreign languages and living abroad, we deeply understand the challenges – from building your first sentences to leading meaningful conversations. Jelena
I always begin with a short conversation with my students to better understand their needs and expectations. Since every student is different, the most important thing for me is to adapt each lesson to the individual. At the start, you will tell me what you would like to focus on—whether it’s conversation or grammar—and I will prepare your lessons accordingly. At the end, you’ll have the chance to share your feedback, let me know if the lesson met your expectations, and tell me what you’d like to work on next time.
Jelena holds a law degree. She has always loved learning foreign languages, and while studying law in France she further developed her passion for languages and intercultural communication. Since 2021, she has been teaching Serbian and French to students from different parts of the world.
Through her teaching experience with learners of various levels, she has developed her own method, combining language knowledge with a love of culture. In her lessons, she especially enjoys encouraging students to discover the language through everyday topics and cultural insights, creating a natural and enjoyable learning environment.
Nevena
I believe that the only right way to learn a language is the way that works for you. I am here to help you find it, support you, and motivate you on this journey. Our classes will be tailored to fit all your needs: if you wish to learn through conversation, I will provide you with vocabulary for topics that interest you. If you, on the other hand, prefer structured lessons, I will equip you with books and additional, personalized materials. We can also mix and match various methods, and switch things up anytime to keep the learning experience dynamic and engaging.
Nevena holds a degree in Greek language and culture. She has always loved learning foreign languages, and during her studies she developed a love for teaching as well. She applied her knowledge of linguistics and Greek language teaching to Serbian as well, and through years of experience she developed her teaching and learning method for the two languages. After her bachelor’s at the University of Belgrade, she moved to Thessaloniki to continue her master’s studies in history and anthropology, which she is now completing. Above all, she likes to combine knowledge of the language with a love of culture and to share that experience with his students, while simultaneously improving her knowledge of the German language.
